OZAUKEE COUNTY ? In response to this national and local concern about mental health, the Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department, as part of their INVEST Initiative, formed a Mental Health Sub-Committee involving representatives from many agencies, human services, law enforcement, NAMI, and school districts to develop action plans in assisting and supporting individuals and families struggling with mental health issues.

In addition, both Washington and Ozaukee Counties have combined forces to develop a pilot program called "Cultivate," which is focusing on developing mental health friendly communities. The first pilot initiative for mental health friendly communities will be launched in January, 2018.
